What we do
Lots of things go on at the Gospel Centre right throughout the week. Here's a quick introduction to some of those things.
Sunday Service
We meet together every Sunday morning from 11am till about half past twelve to worship God and learn about Him. There are activities for children during the adults' Bible teaching time, and an overflow room where parents with very young children can listen to the service if their child is being noisy. Here is the newsheet from last week's service, and this month's connections magazine.
Youth Group
S2S Youth group is on Friday evenings and starts at 7.30 and ends at about 9.30pm. The age of the group start from 14-18 and is a mix of boys and girls. We have many different activities that range from Peforming arts to group discussions and fun games.
Life groups
During the week their are various ‘life groups’ which meet in people's homes around north London.
English classes
On Monday evenings there are English classes for anyone who would like to learn English in a friendly, informal setting.
Alpha Course
We run Alpha courses for those who are interested in investigating Christianity.
Discipleship course
To help you find out more about God and what His Kingdom is all about, we have a programme of basic training or “discipleship”.
Marriage and Family Matters
- Marriage Preparation Course
- The Marriage Course
- Family Issues
Developed by HTB (the Alpha people). This course is offered for anyone (whether members of the Gospel Centre or not) who is planning to marry.
Also from HTB, this course is designed to improve communication and therefore the quality of every marriage. (Next course starts 22 April, 2009).
Because the family was designed by God, we offer a number of courses to help families run better.
‘Reaching up’ service
‘Reaching up’ is an informal worship service which happens on the first Sunday of every month in the evening. It's just singing and praying, and a chance to meditate on God.
