NEW TESTAMENT PROPHETS (part 1) No.40

"Oh that all God's people were Prophets," was the cry of Moses 1000s of years ago, and its still the cry of God's heart today. Numbers 11:29. God made this all possible on the Day of Pentecost 2000 years ago. Look at Joel 2:28 and Acts 2:17.
I see in my spirit a people being raised up in these Last Days who speak forth the Word of God with power, young and old, men and women, rich and poor. I see these people as confident in God, mixing with society and not an exclusive group. Not a Holy Huddle, a Chosen Frozen or "Me and you and a Deacon named Blue". These people are an army of love, who are like salt, a happy people, free from fear. They are also a praising and observant people who speak into situations for the good. They are changing households, Churches, communities and even countries with faith filled words.

These people speak out the word of God with faith and don't have verbal diarrhoea. Some times we think that by saying lots of Christian words we are being more spiritual, but this is far from the truth. We can also think that by saying, "Praise the Lord" all the time it will makes us more spiritual and better witnesses. I heard of one woman who stood up in Church one week and said. "The Devil has been chasing me all week - Praise His glorious name?"
Some times we say things without really thinking." What about when someone says "The Devil is really doing some bad things in this place?" And the Christians then respond by saying, "Amen". Do you realise that "Amen" means, "So be it." In other words you are endorsing the Devil's work.
God's Prophets speak out the word of God. There was a time that I felt I needed to add the word "Jesus" onto the end of all my conversations to make myself sound more spiritual. I was so busy trying to be a witness for Jesus and not letting the Spirit witness through me, and nearly had a nervous breakdown. It says that when you are baptised in the Holy Spirit you SHALL be my witness. It's a forgone conclusion. When the Spirit is in your life, you are God's witness. Relax and let it happen and don't mess things up.

We speak 1000s of words each and every day. Many of them are even scriptures, but are any of these words "faith filled?" God's prophetic people need to speak forth words that have faith mixed with them. Look at Hebrew 4:2.
"We received the same promises as those people in the wilderness, but the promises didn't do them a bit of good because they didn't receive the promises with faith."

We can also think that the faith words we speak are the loudest ones.

Look at Mark 11:22-24. God says we should have His kind of faith and then goes on to talk about how we should speak to our mountains. God didn't wiggle His ears or use telepathy in the beginning to create the universe. He spoke faith filled words and then goes on to say that if we want to move mountains we need to do the same. He then speaks about 'believing' in these verses and not doubting in our hearts if you want results. God needs to do something in our hearts so that we believe in the words that we speak.
In the Jim Carey movie "Liar, Liar" Jim's little boy was sick of his father lying all the time so he made a wish that he would not lie for one day. This gave his father much grief, but when he found out what his son had done he wanted him to reverse the wish. The boy tried to undo it but said. "I can't because I don't mean it." This is our problem too. We don't mean what we say and that's why mountains don't move.

God's Prophets will be a people who speak faith filled words, words that come from the heart, words that they mean. I have found that the more I have got to know God the more accurate my word and prayers have become. Look at Psalm 103:7. It says that Moses knew God's ways while the Children of Israel only saw His acts. The difference with Moses was that he knew God and never wanted to go back to Egypt. The Children of Israel however saw the miracles but didn't know God and always wanted to go back.

In another Jim Carey movie called "Bruce Almighty", Jim was given God's power for a few days. He got himself into such a mess - as you do. If we had God's power with our heart condition there'd be many motorists zapped on the way to work everyday. The neighbourhood Mosque would end up vaporised and many neighbours' pets would mysteriously disappear.
The trouble is we don't really know God's ways. We haven't spent enough time with Him to find out His heart. Most of us are "Jerks". We have "Knee Jerk reactions to the situations of life. There was a time when I was really into the "Name it and claim it" teaching. All my prayer time was taken up with believing for $$$ and things and not too concerned about relationships. I did get what I wanted too but there was leanness in my soul. I treated God like a "Slot Machine". Praise God He felt sorry for me and arranged things to bring me to a place where I was undone so that He could do me up again. He wanted me to start all over again. I stopped reading books about what other people said and just read the bible. It was then that I had an amazing experience with God. I began to know God and found out that much of what I had been doing and saying for Him was not really what He wanted. Many of my desires and zeal for God were all wrong. Many of my motives were wrong too and so much of my time was being wasted. I soon found out what God really wanted for me and I believe also for His Church. What God showed me was that He is looking for "Worshippers". Look at John 4:23.

For a time there the Lord told me to ask for nothing at all and just worship Him. This was hard to do for I had so many needs. What I found out after many months was that God could take care of me without me worrying about things. I could see what the bible meant when it said. "Seek first the kingdom of God and all the other 'things' will be added unto you." What I was to find out was that I was to be concerned about loving Him and when I do that 'things' will come to me.
We need to spend more time with God and find out His will and then speak out faith filled words into the situations that surround us.
I have found out from God that the need to change is not so much with the people that are around us but with us. In the book of Jonah the problem wasn't with the Ninevites but with Jonah. When Jonah changed then Nineveh repented. We can want to see the world change for Jesus but God first wants us to change our ways.

So many of us want to be noticed. We want to be appreciated by people and when we don't get it we are offended or over react in the situations of life. When you spend time with God and begin to believe that He loves you, you'll begin to know that God notices you all the time. You'll realise that He appreciates you and loves you dearly and so relax a lot more. You won't be so worried about what people think about you and be yourself in their presence. You'll begin to enjoy being yourself too. When you find out what the Lord really wants you'll come into a situation or place and say. "I must worship God, rather than, I must witness to man." The witnessing will automatically flow out of your worship.

How do we come to this place of being one of God's Prophetic People?
How do we start to speak out faith filled words? It comes from waiting on God and finding out what He wants. Finding out how much He loves us. It comes from meditating on Gods' word and then speaking it out. The more we do the more we believe the words that we are saying and begin to really mean it.
